Holiday essentials
You’ve got your hot beach holiday booked, travel arrangements made, currency ordered and passport in a safe place, now it’s time to make sure you have everything else you need! Because you’re heading to hotter climes where the sun will be shining you can forget the heavy coats and jumpers and get ready to take you teeny tiny bikini’s and sunglasses and get ready to enjoy that much needed sunshine!
Obviously because you going somewhere hotter that sees much more sunshine than here an absolute beach holiday must have is sun tan lotion which includes at least an SPF factor 30 and if you want you want to oil yourself up for a darker tan make sure you use oil that has an SPF factor and not cooking oil!
As well as suntan lotion, after sun is also a holiday necessity, it helps sooth skin that has caught too much sunlight as well as moisturizes more intensely than your average body lotion so it will also keep your skin hydrated.
Sunglasses are another must, many people now opt for cheaper funky fashion pairs which are ok for the amount of sun we get here however many are not suitable for a holiday abroad because they do not protect your eyes enough from harmful UV rays make sure what you take with you has a high UV protection.
If you plan on lounging around on sun loungers by the pool or on the beach you will probably want to have some light entertainment such as music, and although places play music by the pool and the bar this may not be your personal preference so a MP3 player is always handy, as well as a good book or plenty of glossy magazines.
You won’t want to forget your time away so make sure you take a camera with you to take plenty of holiday snaps on your beach holiday whether it’s a small compact digital camera or a cheap one use camera.
